Kendall Fuller was originally selected by Washington in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs on March 14, 2018 and then signed with Washington as a free agent on March 18, 2020.

He recorded 225 tackles (172 solo), 26 passes defensed, 6 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles in his first four NFL seasons. He also started in four of the five previous career postseason contests, including a win in Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs.
